Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including patient examinations, injections, and wound care
- Perform vital signs monitoring and EKG procedures
- Manage patient flow in examination rooms and prepare medical equipment
- Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) with precision
- Administer medications and perform phlebotomy services
- Coordinate patient education materials for chronic disease management
- Handle insurance verification and billing documentation
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Michigan CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent interpersonal skills for diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environments
- High school diploma or equivalent required
