Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist physicians and nurses in examining and treating patients, ensuring a comfortable and efficient clinical environment.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and weight.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient intake, update medical records, and handle correspondence in a timely and organized manner.
- Phlebotomy & Lab: Perform venipuncture and other laboratory tests as directed, ensuring all specimens are collected and processed correctly.
- Medication Management: Assist with medication administration and inventory management as required by state regulations.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure clear and effective communication.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) software and strong computer skills.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Professionalism: Strong attention to detail, high ethical standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
