Responsibilities

  • Perform patient intake, vitals, and medical history assessments with accuracy and empathy.
  • Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor medical treatments.
  • Perform phlebotomy and EKG procedures safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Prepare laboratory specimens and manage inventory of medical supplies.
  • Schedule patient appointments, manage calls, and handle insurance verification.
  • Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medications and follow-up care.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.

  • 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or ambulatory setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
