Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring cleanliness and sterilization
- Perform vital sign measurements and EKGs
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Manage patient electronic health records (EHRs) accurately
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications
- Process insurance forms and maintain compliance with HIPAA
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) a plus
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to multitask
- Flexibility to work day/evening/weekend shifts
- Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office
