Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for examination by assisting with history taking and vital sign measurements.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient check-in/check-out processes, update electronic health records (EHR), and schedule appointments accurately.
- Lab Support: Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis under the supervision of a nurse or physician.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring clear understanding of treatment plans.
- Sanitation: Maintain a clean, safe, and sterile environment in exam rooms and treatment areas.
- Inventory: Monitor and restock medical supplies and equipment as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification preferred for new hires.
- Experience: No prior experience required; we value attitude and aptitude over experience.
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with medical software is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform tasks that require fine motor skills.
- Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (can be obtained during training).
