Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures in a professional and efficient manner.
- Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information accurately.
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, EKGs, and point-of-care testing under supervision.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage patient intake and check-out processes, including insurance verification and billing assistance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment in compliance with HIPAA standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy clinical setting.
- Proficiency in computer operations and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for regional duties.
