Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist physicians and nurses by preparing patients for examinations, taking vital signs, and updating medical records.
- Administrative Support: Manage front desk operations, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and processing insurance information.
- Clinical Procedures: Perform basic laboratory tests, administer EKGs, and prepare injection samples as directed by medical staff.
- Room Preparation: Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms, ensuring all medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
- Communication: Interact professionally with patients, explaining procedures and answering questions to ensure a comfortable experience.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock medical supplies and equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus.
- Certification: Current CMA or RMA certification preferred; willing to obtain certification with our support.
- Experience: No prior experience required; we value passion and a strong work ethic over years on the job.
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
