Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist providers with patient examinations, vitals, and minor procedures under supervision.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient check-in/check-out processes, maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR), and handle insurance verification.
- Lab Support: Perform basic laboratory tests, collect blood samples, and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Communication: Clearly communicate test results and follow-up instructions to patients in a friendly and empathetic manner.
- Compliance: Adhere to strict HIPAA regulations and clinic protocols to ensure patient confidentiality and safety.
- Inventory: Monitor and restock exam rooms and medical supplies to ensure readiness for daily operations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Completion of a Medical Assistant program is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior clinical experience required; we provide on-the-job training for the right candidate.
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with medical software is preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
- License: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred or willing to obtain.
- Background: Must pass a background check and drug screening.
