As a Medical Assistant, you will be the face of our clinic, ensuring our patients feel comfortable and cared for. Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, prepare patients for procedures, and ensure patient comfort.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient intake, update electronic health records (EHR), and schedule appointments.
- Lab Work: Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws, urine analysis, and point-of-care testing.
- Communication: Answer phone inquiries, direct patients to appropriate departments, and provide clear instructions to patients.
- Infection Control: Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to all health and safety protocols.
- Inventory: Assist in maintaining medical supplies and equipment inventory levels.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred.
- Certification: CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level roles.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Technical: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with medical software is a plus.
- Physical: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive motions.
- Attitude: A compassionate, service-oriented mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
