Responsibilities

  • Patient Intake & Care: Greet patients warmly, verify demographics, and prepare them for their appointments with the provider.
  • Vital Signs & History: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, weight) and update medical histories.
  • Assisting Providers: Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and assist physicians and nurse practitioners during patient exams.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage patient check-in/check-out processes, handle insurance verification, and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Laboratory Support: Perform basic laboratory tests, collect specimens, and ensure all samples are processed correctly and securely.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
