Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals monitoring, and medical history reviews accurately.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments for patient use.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, ensuring strict adherence to quality control standards.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by physicians, following all safety protocols.
- Manage patient flow efficiently to minimize wait times and ensure optimal patient satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or NCMA is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with varying shift schedules.
