Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Administer medications, vaccines, and injections per protocols
- Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab tests
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHRs) and documentation
- Sterilize equipment and ensure exam rooms are stocked and sanitized
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory setting
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
- Pass background check and drug screening
