Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Conduct patient intakes, measure vital signs, and update medical histories accurately.
- Clinical Support: Assist providers during examinations and procedures; prepare examination rooms and sterilize instruments.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient scheduling, verify insurance information, and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR).
- Lab Procedures: Perform basic lab tests, including phlebotomy and point-of-care testing, following strict safety protocols.
- Communication: Educate patients on treatment plans and medications; act as a liaison between patients and the clinical team.
- Compliance: Adhere to HIPAA regulations and facility policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification preferred.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting is highly desirable.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Skills: Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Attributes: Compassionate demeanor, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation is required.
