Responsibilities
- Greet patients and verify their personal information and insurance details accurately.
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with gowns, drapes, and positioning.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, anticipating their needs.
- Administer injections and medications as ordered by the provider, ensuring patient safety and documentation.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKGs as required.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized examination room.
- Update and file patient medical records and charts in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
