Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Perform basic clinical tasks including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Manage patient records using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications
- Administer injections and medications under provider supervision
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred but not required
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn EHR systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings/weekends
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced settings
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Current CPR/BLS certification (training provided if needed)
