Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight, for all patients.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during medical procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications, and draw blood samples (phlebotomy).
- Manage patient intake, update electronic health records (EHR) efficiently, and maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized clinical environment in compliance with safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors, answering questions and addressing concerns.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Associate degree in Medical Assisting is required.
- Current CMA (AAMA) or RMA (AMT) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, urgent care environment.
