Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, weight, and height measurements.
- Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize medical equipment in accordance with strict hygiene protocols.
- Manage patient intake, updating electronic health records (EHR) accurately and efficiently.
- Perform basic laboratory duties, such as phlebotomy and point-of-care testing (POCT).
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding follow-up care and medication instructions.
- Handle front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and answering incoming calls.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
