Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature) and record accurate data in electronic health records (EHR).
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments according to strict hygiene protocols.
- Greet patients and guide them through the intake process, verifying insurance and demographic information.
- Administer medications as directed by providers and perform basic lab tests (e.g., glucose monitoring, urinalysis).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for all patients and staff.
- Handle patient inquiries professionally and escalate complex issues to the nursing staff or manager.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred; graduates with a diploma or degree may be considered.
- Current Washington State Medical Assistant license and DEA registration.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
