Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and check them in upon arrival.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to ensure infection control standards.
- Take and accurately record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information.
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and minor medical treatments.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccines as directed by physicians.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient charts.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and referrals as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient privacy.
