Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and check them in upon arrival.
  • Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to ensure infection control standards.
  • Take and accurately record vital signs, medical histories, and patient information.
  • Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and minor medical treatments.
  • Administer medications, injections, and vaccines as directed by physicians.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
  • Manage Electronic Health Records (EHR) and maintain accurate, up-to-date patient charts.
  • Coordinate patient follow-ups and referrals as needed.

Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting preferred.
