Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and confidentiality
- Schedule appointments, handle billing codes, and process insurance documentation
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination
Qualifications
- Current and active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Texas state certification or eligibility required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a fast-paced medical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask effectively
