Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and accurately record medical histories and vital signs.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens and perform basic EKGs.
- Manage patient scheduling, medical records, and insurance verification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and HIPAA-compliant workspace.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
