Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories accurately
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures including injections, wound care, and EKGs
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Coordinate patient flow, schedule appointments, and handle administrative tasks efficiently
- Perform phlebotomy and basic laboratory procedures following strict protocols
- Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient experiences
- Maintain sterile examination environments and inventory of medical supplies
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Medical Assisting or equivalent certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or large practice setting
- Current BLS/CPR certification and state medical assistant licensure
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to interact compassionately with diverse patients
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
