Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and assist providers during procedures
- Accurately document medical histories and patient information in EHR systems
- Administer injections, medications, and perform point-of-care testing
- Manage exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory of medical supplies
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with specialty departments
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/Meditech preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume setting
