Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet patients, verify insurance information, and prepare them for examination.
- Vitals & Screening: Accurately measure and record vital signs, height, weight, and other health metrics.
- Assist Providers: Work closely with physicians and nurse practitioners to ensure smooth patient flow and exam procedures.
- Administer Care: Prepare and administer medications, injections, and vaccines as directed by a licensed provider.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Sanitize and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment to ensure a sterile environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certifications: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification preferred.
- Licensure: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications are required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Technical: Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is a plus.
