Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring sterility and proper supply levels
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) documentation with precision
- Coordinate patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and clinic protocols
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR certification and BLS certification
- Texas Medical Assistant certification preferred (or eligible)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
