Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including accurate recording of vitals, medical histories, and insurance information.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider.
- Manage and maintain Electronic Medical Records (EMR) with strict adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals to specialists.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with EMR software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.
