Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and prepare patients for examination by the physician.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Administer medications and injections as directed and under supervision.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKGs accurately and efficiently.
- Manage patient records, including electronic health records (EHR) and filing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and visitors to ensure high-quality customer service.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an accredited institution.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Proficiency in using EMR/EHR software systems.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
