Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist providers with patient exams, treatments, and procedures in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vitals, including blood pressure, heart rate, height, and weight.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, update medical records, and handle insurance verification.
- Lab & Testing: Perform basic laboratory tests, prepare specimens, and assist with EKGs or phlebotomy as required.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Compliance: Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and clinic protocols to maintain a safe and secure environment.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA, RMA, or MA certification (NCLEX-CMA preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting is preferred.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and strong computer skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Reliability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.
