Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations, take vital signs, and document medical histories
- Assist providers with clinical procedures including EKGs, phlebotomy, and wound care
- Manage patient flow and ensure efficient clinic operations
- Administer medications and injections under provider supervision
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and HIPAA compliance
- Sterilize equipment and maintain exam room cleanliness
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant program graduate or equivalent certification
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/Meditech preferred)
- Strong knowledge of clinical procedures and medical terminology
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Georgia MA certification
