Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with clinical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic lab tests
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Coordinate patient flow and ensure smooth clinic operations
- Administer injections and medications as directed by providers
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and medical supplies inventory
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a busy medical practice
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical protocols
- High school diploma or equivalent required
