Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and medical history documentation with precision and empathy.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and manage inventory efficiently.
- Administer injections and perform basic laboratory tests (phlebotomy) as directed.
- Handle patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and coordinate referrals.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician practice setting.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) software is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
