Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration rate) and record patient data accurately.
- Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare patients for examinations and guide them through the intake process.
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, including blood draws and specimen collection, following strict safety protocols.
- Maintain and organize medical records, ensuring they are up-to-date and confidential (HIPAA compliance).
- Coordinate patient appointments, schedule follow-ups, and manage incoming calls professionally.
- Provide patient education on medications, post-care instructions, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus (training provided if needed).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient privacy.
- Willingness to obtain required certifications (CMA, RMA) during employment.
