Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations, treatments, and minor procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems with precision
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow efficiently
- Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment
- Provide patient education on medications and treatment plans
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Accredited Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a medical setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or similar)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Valid California Driver's License (for occasional travel)
