Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and basic laboratory tests
- Administer medications and injections per physician protocols
- Update and maintain electronic health records (EHR) with precision
- Coordinate patient flow, schedule appointments, and manage correspondence
- Ensure exam rooms are fully stocked, sterile, and compliant with OSHA standards
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- California MA certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Exceptional communication skills and cultural competency
- Ability to multitask effectively in high-volume settings
