Responsibilities
- Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab tests
- Manage patient electronic health records (EHR)
- Prepare and administer medications under physician guidance
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communications
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and equipment
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or Athenahealth a plus)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
