Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy services
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Administer medications and injections per physician orders
- Schedule appointments and handle patient communication professionally
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Assist with insurance verification and billing documentation
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Texas state certification or eligibility required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification (must maintain current)
- Exceptional patient communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume environment
- Background check and drug screen required
