Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures with precise clinical support
- Perform vital sign measurements, EKGs, and point-of-care laboratory testing
- Administer medications and vaccines following strict protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Coordinate patient flow and prepare examination rooms efficiently
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital or urgent care setting
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
