Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by interviewing them, recording medical history, and measuring vital signs.
- Assist physicians and nurses during medical procedures and examinations.
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccines under the supervision of a licensed provider.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis.
- Update and maintain patient charts and electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized examination room environment.
- Answer incoming calls and manage patient inquiries with a professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and evenings.
