Responsibilities
- Greet patients and check them in, verifying insurance information and collecting co-pays.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with changing clothes and positioning.
- Record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, weight, and temperature.
- Assist providers during exams and procedures, including drawing blood and administering injections.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical equipment.
- Handle incoming calls and schedule patient appointments accurately.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA) is preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
