Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and recording information in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Assist providers during clinical procedures and examinations.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, EKGs, and point-of-care testing.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage patient intake, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized examination environment.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) is preferred but we will consider qualified candidates without certification for immediate hire.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with EHR systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical setting.
