Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including vitals, weight, and medical history collection.
- Prepare examination rooms and medical equipment for physician visits.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs.
- Manage and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals.
- Provide patient education on medications and treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting.
- Strong proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
