Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including medical history reviews and vital signs measurement.
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean clinical environment.
- Manage front desk operations, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and processing patient check-ins.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and health maintenance.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital policies.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Valid NPI number.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or hospital setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings.
