Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by accurately recording vital signs and medical history.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during clinical examinations and minor procedures.
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and basic laboratory tests as required.
- Manage patient flow, scheduling, and check-in processes efficiently.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in the EHR system.
- Provide compassionate patient education and support.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not always required for immediate hires.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and work flexible shifts.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
