Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, record vital signs, and update medical histories accurately.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean clinical environment.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed physician.
- Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and laboratory tests via EHR systems.
- Provide clear patient education regarding medications, treatments, and wellness plans.
- Handle incoming calls and manage patient inquiries with professionalism.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician practice or clinic setting.
- Strong working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends.
