Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs, patient screenings, and prepare patients for examinations.
- Assist providers with procedures, injections, and venipuncture as directed.
- Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), and handle insurance verification.
- Greet patients, schedule appointments, and answer multi-line phones with a professional demeanor.
- Provide patient education and medication instructions in a clear, empathetic manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary clinical environment.
- Collaborate with the front desk and nursing staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment as needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
