Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring proper sterilization and equipment functionality
- Accurately document patient information in EHR systems following HIPAA guidelines
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
- Manage patient flow and coordinate appointment scheduling
- Administer medications and treatments under physician supervision
- Process lab specimens and prepare patient referrals
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in ambulatory care setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Washington State MA-B credential or eligibility
- Strong communication skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
