Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by accurately recording vital signs, medical history, and updating electronic health records (EHR).
- Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and minor procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer medications as directed, and prepare injections.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized environment in exam rooms and treatment areas.
- Handle patient billing and insurance verification with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries and addressing concerns professionally.
- Assist with patient flow management to ensure minimal wait times and optimal care delivery.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) preferred; graduation from an accredited program is required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical environment while maintaining strict attention to safety protocols.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (optional but preferred).
