Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and escort them to examination rooms.
- Vitals & Admin: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, weight, and height; prepare and maintain medical charts.
- Clinical Support: Assist providers with examinations, prepare instruments, and draw blood when certified.
- Lab Work: Perform routine laboratory tests, such as urinalysis and blood work, following strict protocols.
- Procedures: Administer injections, immunizations, and perform EKGs under physician supervision.
- Inventory: Manage office supplies and ensure examination rooms are stocked and sanitized.
- Communication: Relay clear instructions to patients regarding medications and follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, NCMA, or equivalent).
- Licensure: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting preferred; we offer training for high-performing candidates.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems (e.g., Athenahealth, Epic).
- Interpersonal: Exceptional communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Reliability: Must pass a background check and drug screen.
- Location: Must reside in the Las Vegas, NV area.
