Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and obtain medical histories accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting providers and explaining procedures.
- Administer injections, vaccinations, and medications as directed by providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including blood draws and urinalysis, following strict protocols.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain accurate patient charts.
- Provide patient education on medications, diet, and lifestyle changes.
- Coordinate patient appointments and handle front desk reception duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a medical office or clinic setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
