Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet patients, verify information, and ensure a comfortable environment upon arrival.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
- Assistance: Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures as directed.
- Procedures: Prepare patients for exams, perform basic laboratory tests, and administer medications/injections as trained.
- Administrative: Maintain accurate medical records, update patient charts, and handle insurance verification.
- Inventory: Manage exam room supplies and ensure cleanliness and organization.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited medical assistant program is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Licensure: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Skills: Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and computer literacy.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
